When you place a booking with Century Travel, either as lead passenger, booker, passenger or non-travelling payee, you may provide us or our Service Provider with:

Travel related information such as passport details, ethnicity, visa eligibility.

In some cases, we may also need to collect more sensitive personal data such as information concerning medical conditions, disabilities and special requirements, so as to be able to consider your particular needs in relation to a booking.

When you interact with us via our Social Accounts, we may collect:

Social media content such as imagery, video content and feedback such as reviews and social interactions.

For any content you submit, we may use, copy, modify, adapt, publish or incorporate such content into forms of marketing messaging and advertising for our social accounts, email marketing, print brochures and our website.

We may also use personal data from social media sources such as Facebook advertising that supply information, cookie and third party data. For example, this type of personal social media data helps us to:

Contact and interaction with you, for example by phone, email or post or by responding to social media posts that you send to us, so that we can service your booking or query effectively as a customer

We may share the personal data we collect with other companies in the Century Travel Group, where it is necessary for the effective servicing of a booking or query.

We may share the personal data we collect with other Supplier Partners and Service Providers. We only share personal data that enable our Supplier Partners to provide their services. We work with carefully selected Service Providers that carry out certain functions on our behalf, including for example, companies that help us with our technology services, storing and combining data, and processing payments. We only share personal data that enable our Service Providers to effectively provide their services. When we share personal data with these companies we require them store and process it securely, and they must not use your personal data for their own marketing purposes.

We may also need to share personal data with other organisations in certain circumstances:

if the law or a public authority says we must share the personal data;

if we need to share personal data in order to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights (this includes providing personal data to others for the purposes of preventing fraud and reducing credit risk);

to an organisation we sell or transfer (or enter into negotiations to sell or transfer) any of our businesses or any of our rights or obligations under any agreement we may have with you. If the transfer or sale goes ahead, the organisation receiving your personal data can use your personal data in the same way as us; or

The personal data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area “EEA”). It may also be processed by companies operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our Service Providers, such as airlines, hoteliers, insurance companies and ground handling agents so they can provide you the arrangements you require.

In order for you to travel overseas, we may be required to disclose certain of your personal data to government bodies or other authorities in Cyprus and in other countries, such as those responsible for immigration, border control, security and anti-terrorism. Even if it is not mandatory for us to provide information to such authorities, we may exercise our discretion to assist them where appropriate.

The protection and safe-guarding of your personal data is very important to us and we implement various security safeguards to protect your data, including:

We will send you relevant news and offers about our products and services in a number of ways, including by email, but only if you have previously agreed to receive these marketing communications or have engaged with us in a service provision way. When you register with us on our Website, we will ask you if you would like to receive marketing communications. When you engage with a travel consultant, they will also ask you if you would like to receive marketing communications. You can change your marketing choices over the phone with your consultant or by unsubscribing from our emails at any time.

A&K Travel Group will collect Guest Personal Data that you choose to provide to us when you interact with any of the A&K Travel Group websites, contact any A&K Travel Group reservations departments, use our services, speak with our representatives (such as sales or customer service), or purchase our products

We collect Guest Personal Data about or generated by any device you have used to access the A&K Travel Group websites, or when you use Wi-Fi on an A&K network while traveling with A&K Travel Group. Such collected data could include device information, IP address, and browsing information such as previous purchase history or interests. When you use our websites, we also collect certain information about you automatically through our use of cookies and similar technologies. We receive Guest Personal Data about you from our third-party partners and from marketing companies that provide us with such information as a part of their relationship with us. We receive Guest Personal Data from third-party travel agents who transfer Guest Personal Data to us when you purchase products or services from them in connection with services that we provide, and other service providers performing services on our behalf. We may receive Guest Personal Data from ad networks, behavioural advertising vendors, market research, and social media companies or similar companies that provide us with additional Guest Personal Data. We may also receive Guest Personal Data from Facebook and other social media companies who may transfer Guest Personal Data to us when you register for one of our services or interact with that social media company on or in connection with our services or the purchase of our products.

A&K Travel Group feels strongly about protecting the privacy of minors. A&K Travel Group’s websites are not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18 (“minors”). A&K Travel Group does not knowingly collect personal information from minors in connection with the features of our websites without the consent of a parent or guardian. A&K Travel Group collects and processes the following categories of Guest Personal Data, for the purposes specified below when you make an inquiry or purchase a service or product:

Conduct our business and improve our websites and services, develop new products and services, provide information and support, to better understand your needs and interests, personalize communications and advertising, and generally promote a quality experience for you.

Perform certain automated decision-making, including profiling, which can be used for direct marketing

Process, fulfil and follow up on transactions and requests for products, services, support, and information

Financial information (e.g., credit card number, financial institution information and number)

Process transactions you enter into with us (e.g., purchase of goods and services, refunds, discounts and offers)

The type of Guest Personal Data collected by A&K Travel Group may vary from country to country, and in some countries A&K Travel Group might not collect all of the categories of Guest Personal Data listed above.

A&K Travel Group is committed to only collecting and processing the minimum amount of data from you that is necessary to the purposes of our data processing activities, and to retain such data only if required to fulfil such purposes. Where applicable, if A&K Travel Group intends to further process the personal data for a purpose other than that for which the personal data was initially collected, A&K Travel Group shall, prior to such processing, provide you with any relevant information on such additional purpose, and, to the extent required by applicable law, obtain your consent for such processing.

b. While traveling with A&K Travel Group subsidiary companies:

A&K Travel Group processes Guest Personal Data when you interact with us offline to provide you with the A&K Travel Group service. Additionally, when you use electronic or RFID technologies, or use on-premise digital services, we may collect browsing information including but not limited to, search history, server logs, application logs, browsing data, first-party cookies, third-party cookies, pixel tags and clear gifs. In addition, we may process this data in combination with other data that we collect and/or create as necessary in connection with certain legitimate business interests in (i) verifying your identity for authentication and security purposes; and (ii) to prevent fraud.


We may operate CCTV or security cameras on properties operated or owned by A&K Travel Group. In connection with these systems, we may collect and/or create Guest Personal Data as necessary in connection with certain legitimate business interests, such as (i) ensuring the safety and security of guests and employees; (ii) recording and investigating health and safety incidents; (iii) keeping track of guests and employees for safety and commercial purposes; and (iv) creating aggregate data.

In order to understand our guests’ preferences, and better recommend bespoke products and services we may create a “Guest Profile” by linking together and analysing Guest Personal Data collected in the following circumstances: (i) when you purchase our products and services; (ii) when you travel with companies owned or operated by A&K Travel Group; (iii) when you use our digital services; (iv) through cookies and other tracking technologies on A&K Travel Group websites; (v) when you contact us or submit information to us; and (vi) through feedback and surveys.


During our interactions we may collect special categories of personal data about you as detailed below. This may be because you provide us with the information or because it is associated with a group you travel with (please see example below). It may also be because we need to know certain personal data about you, such as health information, so that we can provide you with the best possible service and advise you whether a trip is suitable for you. For example:

If we receive a group booking from a specific religious association, we will indirectly collect details of religious beliefs of the individuals within the group booking. The same can be said for groups from political associations and trade union associations.

If a guest asks whether certain medication is allowed to be taken into certain jurisdictions, that inquiry could disclose certain medical conditions.

Other special category of personal data that we may end up receiving from you include details about your:

dietary requirements (which may disclose your health information or religious or philosophical beliefs);

You are not under any obligation to consent to us processing or disclosing your sensitive information in the manner described above and in our Notice. However, if you don’t agree then we won’t be able to process your data or transfer your data to our suppliers. As you will appreciate, it would then be difficult to actually provide your holiday because making your holiday arrangements involves processing your data and transferring your data to our suppliers in order that they can provide the services.

If you have concerns with us processing or transferring your data then please discuss that with us at your earliest convenience in order that we can book your holiday and provide you with the necessary services.

If you are happy to consent to our use of your sensitive information, you will also be able to withdraw your consent at any time. However, if this operates to prevent us from providing your holiday, we will be required to treat the withdrawal of consent as a cancellation of your booking and the cancellation charges in the Booking Terms and Conditions for your booking will become payable, as applicable.


IV. THE LEGAL GROUNDS FOR PROCESSING GUEST PERSONAL DATA

In most instances, we process Guest Personal Data under the legitimate interests of providing you products and services, as well as running our business (for example, we record inbound and outbound calls to fulfill our legitimate interests of ensuring our customer support team is trained appropriately and to address any concerns you might raise).
